The 8th International Summer forum of amusement industry specialists organized by the Russian association of amusement parks and attractions (RAAPA) and supported by the Administration of the city of Samara and Ministry of Culture of the Samara region will take place in Samara from July 17 to July 19.  

RAAPA Summer Forum is an annual international event aimed at the experience exchange among the culture and leisure industry professionals, discussion of the topical issues of the present-day park and entertainment industry, presentation of the latest technologies in the global amusement industry, highlighting the tourist potential of various cities and regions.

Earlier RAAPA Summer Forums were held in Voronezh (2012), Yaroslavl (2013), Kazan (2014), Nizhniy Novgorod (2015), Belgorod (2016), Minsk (2017), and Ufa (2018). In total, nearly 1,000 specialists from over 90 Russian cities and foreign countries took part in those.

This year the Summer Forum is moving to Samara, it is one of the largest cities in Russia; well-known economical, scientific, and cultural center. In 2018, Samara was hosting the World Cup football games. The city is known for its parks, cultural facilities, recreation areas, and entertainment centers. The cultural and recreation sphere for such a big urban center is undersaturated which opens up here ample opportunities for entertainment industry development. 

The Summer Forum will be attended by the executives and specialists of the parks, entertainment centers, water parks, resorts, travel companies, and cultural institutions, city officials and representatives of non-governmental organizations, manufacturers of amusement rides and entertainment equipment, and other interested persons. Altogether, over 150 participants from Russia and abroad are expected. 

The program of the Forum comprises visits to the leading parks and family entertainment centers of Samara, meetings with their executives, a topical educational program, excursions and tours to the primary city sights.

The agenda of the business program will include such topics as modernization of amusement parks and recreation areas, choice of the best fit entertainment formats for FECs, safety of amusement rides, and other relevant issues. Leading experts will reveal the latest tendencies and novelties in the amusement industry.

Over the years of its existence RAAPA Summer Forum has grown into one of the largest business forums for amusement industry specialists!
